Walid al-Obaidi, the commander of the Islamic Jihad's al-Quds Brigades in the West Bank, said on Monday that his group had the right to carry out suicide bombings in Israel whenever necessary. He made the statement in response to Israeli reports that the IDF arrested two Islamic Jihad terrorists who were on their way to an area in Israel to blow themselves up.
"The allegation came as part of psychological war that occupation troops conduct against our people and resistance," said al-Obaidi, also known as Abu al-Qasam.
He also called on militants not to abide by any ceasefire unless it covers the West Bank, saying that the Palestinian territories were one part that can not be divided. "The retaliation of al-Quds Brigades will not delay and will be painful and terrible," he said.
