This video is something special. It was shot in the early morning hours of August 2 during an operation by IDF commandos in Baalbek, inside the Bekaa Valley. The commandos captured five Hezbollah terrorists and killed at least 10 others before completing the operation and safely returning to Israel, IDF Chief of Staff Dan Halutz said. More operational details of the raid here.
The Bekaa Valley has been called "the Fraternity Row of terror groups." It is the site of operations, past or present, of more than two dozen terror organizations. These include al-Qaeda, Egyptian Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Hezbollah, Hezbollah-Bahrain, PKK, Japanese Red Army, Red Army Faction (Germany), PFLP-GC, Abu Nidal, Force-17, DFLP, PFLP, Palestine Popular Struggle Front, Palestine Liberation Front, Arab Liberation Front, New People's Army (Philippines), IRA, Chechen Rebels, ETA, Fatah, Red Brigades (Italy), Dev Sol (Turkey), Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Nicaraguan Sandinistas, Turkish Workers and Peasants Liberation Army, and the Medelln drug cartel (terrorist experts from the Bekaa were dispatched to teach them terror tactics in South America).
The video starts off with an animation display of where the commandos were headed, followed by their departure from the helicopters. Then we shift to a camera that follows the commandos on their mission as they uncover a treasure trove of documents related to terrorist infrastructure and operations. Hezbollah terrorists fire on the Israeli forces, but they are able to return safely to the helicopters.
Wow. Where do you guys get this stuff? Impressive.

It's a shame they didn't nail any high value terrorists. Seems like a long way to go for a handful of garden variety scum.
But perhaps there were other intell purposes too.
I just wish the IDF would do a better job of PR in getting out what they are doing and why.
