Last night, the IDF carried out aerial attacks in the Gaza Strip, targeting three buildings used for the manufacturing and storage of weapons. The targets were buildings in Rafah and Gaza City used by Islamic Jihad to store weapons and a building in Gaza City used by Hamas to store weapons.
Prior to the attack on these terror facilities, in order to minimize civilian casualties, the IDF continued its practice of warning the population to stay away from structures used by terrorists for producing and storing weapons. We have not seen any reports of civilian casualties stemming from this operation.
On the northern front, two IDF soldiers were killed and 14 were wounded in an IDF operation around Bint Jabel in southern Lebanon. Israeli forces have been in the Bint Jabel area in the past day... it's a complex urban environment that forces have to wade through to target the Hezbollah infrastructure, weapons stores and facilities. Fortunately, most of the civilian population heeded Israel's warnings and evacuated the area in advance.
