The PFLP denied reports on Monday that it would join
the Hamas-led government, saying that its stance regarding the
government remains unchanged.
We did not reach a settlement with Hamas during talks, so the PFLP will not join the government," Jamail Majdalawi, a member of the PFLP Politburo, was quoted by the Ramallah-based al-Ayyam.
The PFLP has "in principle showed readiness to join the government one day after results of the parliamentary elections were declared," Majdalawi said, adding that joining the Hamas-led government "was subject to reaching mutual visions."
On Sunday night, Nasser al-Kafarna, a member of the PFLP Politburo, told reporters that the PFLP has officially decided to join the Hamas-led government and the Interior Ministry's Auxiliary Force.
