The Jordanian government has demanded a swift Palestinian inquiry into the killing of the driver for their Ambassador in Gaza. Fatah and Hamas blamed each other for the shooting which left Khaled Radaida, 45, dead from a gunshot wound to the head.
Jordan did not say whether it believed Radaida was deliberately targeted by gunmen loyal to Hamas, which it has accused of smuggling weapons into the kingdom for use in attacks against public institutions and officials.
Jordanian authorities have arrested more than 20 Hamas terrorists since a large arms cache, which included Iranian-made Katyusha rockets, was found last month. Jordan has also accused Hamas's leadership in Syria of instigating the plot - allegations which Hamas and Syria have both denied.
