In a very significant step, the P5 agreed in London yesterday to report Iran to the Security Council.
According to the office of British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, the P5 "agreed that this week's Extraordinary IAEA Board meeting should report to the Security Council its decision on the steps required from Iran, and should also report to the Security Council all IAEA reports and resolutions, as adopted, relating to this issue."
Iran announced in response that it would halt snap inspections of its atomic plants and end a suspension of uranium enrichment if it is reported to the Council.
