Sharansky Speaks with Bloggers on Affairs in Israel and Iran, Democracy

Jril0220 Natan Sharansky participated in a conference call with top bloggers Atlas Shrugs, Boker Tov, Hugh Hewitt (Mary Katharine Ham), Gateway Pundit, Power Line, Publius Pundit, Red State, Right Wing News, Regime Change Iran.

Full audio of the conference call here via Atlas. Analysis here, here, here, here, here and here. This was a fantastic opportunity arranged by The Heritage Foundation. Did Sharansky speak with the anyone from the mainstream? New York Times? Washington Post? Nope, just some heavy hitters from the blogs. Very exciting to see outreach to the blogs at this level - it's all about legitimacy.

Sharansky, a former Soviet dissident, anticommunist, Zionist, Israeli politician and writer, coauthored The Case for Democracy with Ron Dermer, which had a major influence on the President Bush and other government officials, who urged their subordinates to read the book. His life and his view on world affairs is indeed one of the most important stories -- in terms of foreign policy implications -- to be told in years.
